An X2Y Product Built for AI Answer Engines

MetaPilot

Be the source AI answers cite.

MetaPilot makes every page on your site legible to AI answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Claude. It generates the schema.org structured data, Open Graph, and llms.txt that let answer engines understand and cite you accurately, then keeps it all fresh as your content changes, delivered into your live pages through Cloudflare, Shopify, or Wix with zero code changes. Built and operated by the team at X2Y.

The shift

Search is becoming answers, and answer engines only cite what they can parse.

Ten blue links are giving way to AI answers. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews, and Claude increasingly read the web through structured, machine-readable metadata, and cite the sites that hand it to them clearly.

If your structured data is missing, thin, or drifted out of sync with your content, answer engines skip you or get you wrong. Keeping it accurate across hundreds of URLs by hand isn't realistic, and doing it without a review step is dangerous.

What it does

Generate, watch, approve. In that order.

Three moving parts that keep every page's answer-engine metadata accurate without a human babysitting it.

Bulk generation
Select 5 pages or 500. MetaPilot fetches each one, sends it to Claude with a tuned schema.org prompt, and produces JSON-LD plus Open Graph for every URL. Nothing manual.
Auto-pilot
Toggle auto-pilot on a page and MetaPilot watches your sitemap's lastmod daily, when content changes, it regenerates and queues the new metadata for review.
Side-by-side review
Get a digest email when changes are pending. Review every proposal with current vs proposed JSON visible side-by-side. Accept or reject in one click.

Ask AI widget

Turn any page into a launchpad for AI research.

Drop an Ask AI button onto any page and give visitors a one-click way to research it in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, or Meta AI, each opened with a prompt already pointed at that page. It's not a chatbot and has no AI backend, so there's nothing to train and zero per-use cost. The assistant reads the structured data MetaPilot already put there, and answers from your page.

Visual placement picker.
Point and click where the button goes on a live preview of your own page. No code, no CSS selectors to hand-write.
Deep-links, not a chatbot.
It opens the visitor's AI of choice with a research prompt pre-filled. The intelligence is outsourced to the assistant they already trust.
Injected at the edge.
Rendered as a Shadow-DOM web component by the Cloudflare Worker, so it never clashes with your site's CSS and adds no build step.
Included on every plan.
Zero per-use cost means every tier gets it, from 1 page on Free to unlimited pages on Business.

Answer Engine Optimization

Be the source AI answers cite.

Ranking on page one matters less every quarter. What matters now is whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Claude can read your pages and quote them accurately. MetaPilot gives answer engines exactly what they need, and keeps it current.

Machine-readable structured data
Clean schema.org JSON-LD tells answer engines what each page is, who wrote it, and what it says, the format LLMs parse and cite, instead of guessing from raw HTML. MetaPilot picks the right type per page: WebPage, Article, Product, CollectionPage, FAQPage, or HowTo.
llms.txt, served at the edge
MetaPilot publishes an llms.txt and llms-full.txt, the emerging standard that hands AI crawlers a curated map of your site instead of leaving them to scrape blindly.
AI-crawler control
Set the rules for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and Applebot-Extended from one dashboard. Opt in to the engines you want citing you; keep out the ones you don't.
Always fresh, never stale
Answer engines re-crawl constantly. Auto-pilot regenerates your metadata whenever content changes, so what AI reads today matches what your page actually says today.

Runs at the edge

Delivered into the live page.

Generating metadata is the easy half. Getting it into the HTML a crawler actually reads is the part build-time tools cannot do. MetaPilot ships as a Cloudflare Worker that injects fresh JSON-LD and Open Graph straight into your HTML at the edge, before a byte reaches your visitor, and as Shopify and Wix apps that reach the same page by their own routes. No origin redeploys, no template changes.

Three ways in, and they are not equal. The Cloudflare Worker needs your DNS proxied through Cloudflare (the orange cloud) and carries the full feature set. The Shopify and Wix apps need no DNS change, but those platforms own their own sitemap and canonical URLs, so a few capabilities stay with them. MetaPilot tells you which channel your site can use before you pay.

Edge speed, not origin load

The Worker rewrites HTML in-flight across Cloudflare's global network, your server never sees the extra request.

Zero code changes

Nothing to add to your CMS, framework, or build pipeline. The Worker handles injection independently of your stack.

One-click connect

Authorize your Cloudflare account and MetaPilot installs and manages the Worker for you, no manual setup, no scripts to paste.

robots.txt & llms.txt for AI crawlers

Publish an llms.txt and AI-crawler rules for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot from your dashboard, served at the edge alongside your structured data, so answer engines get a clean map of your site.

Monitoring & freshness

Get told when something breaks, not months later.

Structured data is only worth anything while it's live and correct. MetaPilot keeps watching after it generates, so a redeploy, an outage, or a broken link never quietly costs you citations.

Schema-liveness monitoring
MetaPilot re-checks your live pages and alerts you the moment your structured data stops appearing, so a redeploy or CMS change never silently strips your rich results.
Uptime monitoring
Flag your most important pages and MetaPilot polls them on a schedule, with an incident timeline and email alerts the moment one goes down.
Search Console signals
Connect Google Search Console and MetaPilot feeds the queries a page already ranks for into how that page is described, then shows the before and after. Available on every plan, including Free.
Crawler reads, joined to your pages
See which AI crawlers read your site, and which of the pages you optimized they actually reached, because those reads are joined back to your sitemap rather than counted in isolation.

MetaPilot also self-heals canonical URLs: when the Worker sees a page redirect, it resolves the real destination so your metadata always lands on the URL visitors and crawlers actually reach.

How it works

Four steps to metadata you can trust.

  1. 01

    Connect your sitemap

Point MetaPilot at your sitemap.xml. Every URL becomes a managed entry, with lastmod, change frequency, and current metadata side-by-side.

  2. 02

    Generate with AI

Trigger a single page or run a bulk action across hundreds. Each URL is fetched, cleaned, and sent to Claude with a schema.org-aware prompt that picks the right type for the content.

  3. 03

    Auto-pilot watches for changes

Schedule daily refreshes. When a page's lastmod advances, MetaPilot re-fetches and re-generates the metadata automatically.

  4. 04

    Review and approve

Approval mode emails you a digest when changes are pending. A signed link opens a side-by-side review queue, accept what's good, reject what isn't.

Pricing

One plan. Every platform.
